Story Emerging through Gem (Water-lillys) at Worreluk are two Ngal-Warri-Warri (Freshwater Mermaids) swimming in the water weed. Below them is Ngart (Short-neck Turtle) and Weretj-Weretj (Rainbow Fish). Worreluk, where the Ngal-Warri.Warri live, is a Djang (Dreaming place). It is Wak-Jupurru (Sacred Water). It is a fertility/conception site where only women swim or drink Wak (Water). Weretj-Weretj are the 'spirit babies', waiting to enter their potential mother. Ngart is associated with Borlung the Rainbow Serpent.

Story Resting in Bat-Luk (Stone Kantri) at Yurmikmik is a Mimi Spirit with its 'pet' Barrk (Black Wallaroo). Both Mimi and Barrk are Djang (Dreaming). Mimi are like an 'Earth-Spirit'. They have 'power'. Mimi taught people about hunting and cooking, painting, song and dance and love-making. They are 'mischievous', not evil. Mimi keep different animals as pets. Like Barrk, they are shy and live in remote areas in Bat-Luk. Barrk is painted in x-ray style.

Story In the afternoon rays of Mowe (the Sun), giver of light, warmth and life, by their nest with Banyak (egg) surrounded by the fallen flowers of Katjibut (Swamp Paperbark tree), a pair of 'Married-Man' Bornarrong (Brolga) come together. The 'husband' dances for his 'wife'. Celebrating! Growing below is Unditjgala (Billabong Yam). Bornarrong and people eat it. The yam also represents how a man 'grows' his family from his 'wife'/woman. Flying above is Norronbidj (Dragonfly). Norronbidj lets us know when the 'Wet' Season is over and the 'Dry' weather is here. Bornarrong are Djang (Dreaming). Bornarrong symbolise love, devotion and freedom.

Story Swimming through water-weed in the river at Leilyn (Edith Falls) are two types of short-neck turtle. The one on the top is Bamderrek and the other is Ngart. Both are not only 'bush-tucker' but are also Djang (Dreaming) and are associated with Borlung the Rainbow Serpent. They symbolise longevity, perseverance and protection. With patience and determination, they move slowly but steadily. This represents how people should be on their spiritual journey.

Story In a Ngaywok-Ngaywok (secluded freshwater spring in the Arnhem Land Escarpment) filled with Gem (water-lilly), a Ngal-Warri.Warri (Freshwater Mermaid) welcomes her sista to the water. The arriving Ngal-Warri.Warri is in its meta-morphic stage turning back into a mermaid. For when the water-body the Ngal-Warri.Warri live in starts to dry up, they transform into Norronbidj (Dragonfly) and fly to the next suitable water to inhabit. Ngal-Warri.Warri are very beautiful and shy. They have long flowing hair. They are Djang (Dreaming). Werrng (Spring Pandanus) grows by the water's edge. Weretj-Weretj (Rainbow Fish) swim beneath Gem. These are also Djang. They are Rainbow spirit babies who await their mother to drink or swim in the water, so as to conceive them. This Ngaywok-Ngaywok is called Wak-Jupurru (sacred/dangerous water).

Story Sitting togetha in Bat-Luk (Stone Kantri), Gupu the Ancestral Plains Kangaroo teaches Na-Gar.Gar ('Old Man'/Elder), Garra (song) for is adorned with Manjakarr (feathered ceremonial headdress) and Yerrel (feathered ceremonial armband). Both of them carry Jerrbe (ceremonial string bag). Gupu is a most important Djang (Dreaming). Gupu in his travels in the Buwurr ('Dreamtime'/Creation Epoch) created Bolk as well as bringing Ceremony and Law to people. Gupu travelled from the Saltwater in the North through Arnhem Land, south to Uluru and through South Australia to Port Augusta. This is how far Gupu's 'songline' travels. Gupu connects many different Morwurrwurr (clans), not only in Arnhem Land but throughout Australia where he journeyed. The Rarrk (cross-hatch) infill on Gupu signifies the Ngan-Mol (life's essence/Ancestral power) held by Gupu and by Plains Kangaroo today.

Story This bim (painting) shows Na-Marrodo, the Shooting Star Spirit with the Night-sky at Werrenbun. The night is filled with A-h-metmay (Stars). The white star is Manjerr the Morning Star, which is an important Djang (Dreaming). When Mam (white people) see a 'shooting-star', they make a wish. When we see one, we are quiet. Na-Morrodo indicate that someone has passed away. We watch to see where Na-Morrodo lands as to where that person may be. Na-Morrodo is a powerful Djang. This is represented by the Rarrk (cross-hatch) infill.

Story This bim (painting) depicts Ngal-Guran.Wang, the central figure. Ngal-Guran.Wang is a 'special' type of Healer, in that she doesn't heal people, but animals. She is like 'Dr Doolittle', as she is able to communicate with nature and nature with her. She is carrying her Miyowk (dilly-bag), which has her Jamarlak (clap-sticks) for song and 'healing stones'. With Ngal-Guran.Wang is Jenjelk the white Dingo. Jenjelk belongs to Borlung the Rainbow Serpent and is Ngal-Guran.Wang's companion. Sitting on her hand is Jikiditj-Jikiditj (Willy-Wagtail). Jikiditj-Jikiditj is the 'gossip taker' and story teller. In the tree nearby hang Guluban (Black Flying Fox). These are the children of Borlung. At sunset, Borlung lets go of Guluban to fly over Kantri and check that people are doing the right thing. At dawn they return to their 'Mother' and report what they have seen. In the tree's hollow watches Muk-Muk (Owl). Muk-Muk is a spirit bird, able to communicate between the natural and the spirit realms. Muk-Muk symbolises Ngan-Gar.Gar (old people/elders) and their wisdom. The coiled snake is Wirrir (Water Python). This is another manifestation of a Borlung. She surrounds her Banyak (eggs). These will be used by Ngal-Guran.Wang in her healing ceremonies. Coming out of Bat-Luk (stoney hills) is Galawun (Hillside Goanna). Galawun knows the 'medicine grass', which is a cure for the bite of Jalung (King Brown Snake). Galawun is painted in x-ray style.
